Slow first week back
It's now Friday of my first week back at work. It's been a slower transition than I expected. It's been tough to concentrate on the kind of nit-picky details that physics is filled with.
On the plus side, my laptop is functional again. I finally received my replacement hard drive;the last hard drive died suddenly. Now I have 100 GB of disk to fill up!
On the down side, my office window blinds still aren't fixed. I was impressed when maintenance showed up one hour after I called them on Monday, but now that they need to replace the blinds, I don't know when I'll be able to see out of my window again (they're busted in the closed position). That's more what I expected from our glacial maintenance department.
From a physics point of view, this has been a catch-up week. I have been reading papers I missed since March. I have also been re-aquainting myself with my SNO data processing duties. Remembering where all my important files are kept has also been a bit of a challenge.
Not very exciting... but at least I'm managing to blog again :)
on being nit-picky: where else would you need Grunt the left-handed robot?
