Still Grounded!
Well, I am still grounded. My new flight was also cancelled due to the weather conditions. So now I am flying out tomorrow afternoon instead. I am feeling a bit guilty about all of this, since the patient and wonderful Vipuli keeps getting all these calls from me that she doesn't need to pick me up from the airport tonight after all. I really didn't think that asking her to pick me up in the first place would end up being such an adventure! I will have to take her out to a really nice restaurant and not be so obnoxious in the office for a few weeks to make up for this. :)
Happily, this also means that I can spend another day with Jason. I had the opportunity to meet his friend Ben today, who seemed like a funny and cool guy. Ben has pretty eyes. :P Maybe Jason and I will have the chance to play Halo 2 with Jason K., who I was able to chat with yesterday (Jason, it was lovely to hear your voice again; I should really call you more often since you are so much fun to talk to).
So, maybe by tomorrow night I will be back in Virginia, and then at Jefferson Lab, if the weather clears up. Until then, I am going to make the most of my snow time and my time beating Jason in video games (heh). :)
Beat me in videogames? Ha! Bring it on, Little Lady!
Sadly, you are probably back in (relatively) warm and toasty VA now. I hope you enjoyed your trip, it was a wonderful Thanksgiving; thank you for your company.

By the way, thank you Vipuli, for all the trouble and helping Sarah not have to walk from Norfolk to Williamsburg, she had rather heavy luggage after all.

Now, when you say you're grounded, does that mean your feet are on the ground? I'm doing a drive-by with my camera of Jefferson Lab (drive-by shooting) on my way down to the Outer Banks to fly. Angels gots to get der wings ya know. Know what I'm sayin'?

Dear Jason,
Ha ha! You have got yourself a duel!! Dynasty-Warriors style!! :D
Virginia is quite warm and toasty, especially compared to where you live on Hoth. :P I had a great time there with you; thanks for a wonderful Thanksgiving.
With Hugs,
Sarah K

Dynasty Warriors style, huh? I will endeavor not to damage the morale of your army too much.
Don't thank me, your presence was a gift. I am honored that you enjoyed yourself, and you are always welcome here. Especially with flight cancellations. ;)
By the way, Ben is not the only one with pretty eyes...meanie.

Hi Geoffrey,
By grounded, I mean that my plane was not allowed to leave with me in it, so I could gleefully skip work and have my feet not on the ground for a few more days. :)
I hope that you have fun photographing Jefferson Lab on your way to the Outer Banks! That sounds like fun, flying in the Outer Banks.
I am such an angel. I even have wings! You can see them in my picture here: http://qd.typepad.com/33/2005/11/some_halloween_.html
Best Wishes,
Sarah the Angel
:) :)

Miss Sarah,
The link does not appear to work. Try again?
Geoffrey,
Don't let the wings fool you. :)

Hey There Jason,
Well, it does now. Evidentally it thought the period at the end of the sentence was not a grammatical construct, but part of the link itself.
Hi Geoffrey,
Don't listen to him. He's just being mean to me like usual. :)

I help you work out the kinks in your blog and you call me mean. How does that work? I was merely giving Geoffrey a kind warning, by the way. Anyway, glad things are back in working order. :P

Hey Jason,
Oh, you're terribly mean to me, even though you caught that bad link in my comment and were good enough to let me know, on top of letting me come and visit you and having had a wonderful time doing so. I'll thrash you the next time we are playing video games to teach you a lesson. :P

P.S. - Yes, your eyes are prettier than Ben's.

I was going to actually respond, but I am far too distracted by the previous P.S. to say anything particularly meaningful or interesting. Forgive me. :)
