Summer of hard luck hardware!

So far this summer...

  1. Lost a hard disk with all my pictures on it. Turned out 7 months weren't backed up. THis happened in June.
  2. Started backing up what I had backed up to a second disk, which bit the dust about a week or so ago.
  3. A few minuts ago the power brick for my portable emitted a soft buzz, a bright blue spark, and a puff of smoke. Since I do all my work on this protable, I'm screwed. I have three hours of battery left...

Hopefully, I can either buy a new one or get a power brick fex-exed from the US. I may not be posting for a while...

I don't have read deeply: hoppefully you are not working to SLAC where one accident arrived in 2004, if i remember well.
