Rules & Excuses

StorynetworkingI realize that my posting has been slow as of late.  This is not for lack of interesting things going on; rather, work has been quite intense, moving from PHOBOS work onto several other projects, and I've been making quite a few trips home to Chicago.  That said, in keeping to my policy of avoiding names, sensitive work issues, and way-too-personal issues in the blog, there hasn't been much left to blog about.

Good thing too, or I would have been violating Rule #5 of Lorenz's Rules of Blogging, which appear in a recent rundown of the state of blogging in the workplace.

  1. Know where your company stands
  2. Blog on your own time
  3. Practice safe blogs
  4. Don't hide it from your boss
  5. Use good judgement
  6. Others will disagree with you [Hm, this probably should have been "Accept disagreements from others"]

So bear with me: things are calming down, and I have several lawyers to talk to about this.  And with the APS meeting in Tampa coming up, I'm sure there will be interesting results to talk about in the very near future.
