WYP 2005 Advertising in Barcelona
While posting a few pictures of Barcelona a few days ago, I had forgotten to post a picture I took some days ago on the underground. Here it is:
They put large see-through posters on the train windows. Each poster describes an important experiment in modern Physics (a guess: I only saw a few). The one on the left describes the paradox of the split twins, due to time dilation in special relativity. I think they hit on something there: people in the underground are typically bored and something stimulating to read is sure to attract attention. Kudos to our spaniard colleagues!
Years ago, after spending what seemed like hours waiting for the high rise elevators, I suggested that FNAL post abstracts of recent papers beside the elevators to give us something useful to do while waiting. Nothing happened, of course.

Now; if it'd be in Spanish as well (not only Catalan), they'd reach even more people.
