In the afternoon, after a nap (the jet-lag!), I went to pick up Filippo at school. I brought his bycicle, so he could play with his friends in Campo del Ghetto, an very nice open space within the ghetto of Venice, close to his school (which is a 100 yards walk from my doorsteps). The picture shows him cycling around; I chose this one although you can't see much of him because I wanted to show the houses of the ghetto, a very peculiar place in Venice. On the left there is a wall with a monument to the Holocaust victims.
The picture above instead is from our Christmas vacation. Filippo was very proud of our snowman!
